Perfecta
Gracias Helen.

5/5 We have had a fantastic holiday in Moraira staying at Casa Helena.
The villa has everything you could want and need with lots of space inside and out. The pool was perfect, such a lovely temperature in August and we were quite happy spending the majority of our days chilling there.
We used the outdoor kitchen for paella making (which was cooler than trying to cook inside). This was such a lovely novelty.
We needed to get cabs in and out of town, but that was due to some of our party not being fit to do the walk and we preferred not to hire a car. It’s easier to get a cab back from the taxi rank in town as the restaurants struggle to get cabs to come to them. Perhaps it’s easier in the quieter season.
You’d be hard pushed to find a bad restaurant in Moraira. We can’t really fault anywhere that we ate. We loved Vista Ifach (great fillet steak), gastrobar 21 (easy to walk), Pulcinella is a great Italian and it’s worth a trip to the Olive Tree if you can as well.
Thank you Helen for assisting us when we needed it and providing a great villa for our return visit to Moraira. There was plenty of information available both before and during the stay to make everything run smoothly.
We would love to come back again!!

5/5 The villa was exactly as described On VRBO. We ( 6 adults and two children) spent a wonderful week in the villa. The villa and the poolarea was perfect for us. Everything we needed for a good holiday in Spain. A quiet and nice area with short distance to the beach and shopping.
The communication with Helen was very helpful and she made us feel very welcome.

5/5 We have just returned from a lovely stay in Casa Helena. The villa was just stunning, a real home-from-home. Had everything we need for a perfect holiday and so much more. So many different places to sit and eat, read or chill. A clean, warm pool that the children (and adults alike) just loved. Lovely decor and interior, clean and tidy throughout - well maintained and so big, more space than we needed. Outdoor space with table tennis, outdoor kitchen and garden area all fab too. English TV, radio and the Wifi was an added bonus. Helen was very welcoming and responsive to our messages and questions, making the stay flawless from start to finish.

5/5 Absolutely loved our stay at the villa. As three couples and a baby we found there was loads of space for all of us.
The outdoor grilling area is great for paellas and loads of space for table tennis.
Great location and just a nice distance to the main shops.
Helen was fantastic through out our stay and we will be booking back in the future!

5/5 We had a wonderful week in Casa Helena. The villa is clean, large and luxurious. You can sit outside in the sun or in the shade. When it cools down in the evening, you can sit down on the comfortable, large couch in the living room. There are sun beds, a barcecue, an outdoor kitchen and of course a nice swimming pool.
Another big plus: the communication with Helen. She is very dedicated and ensures that you lack nothing. She responds super fast to questions and nothing is too much. In short, I can highly recommend this villa.

5/5 Lovely villa with plenty of character inside including some fascinating pieces of art. A good 30+ minute walk from Moraira centre but taxis were easy and it was quite a nice way of walking off the sangria at night. Some lovely restaurants nearby as alternatives. The additional cash charges for linen and cleaning were frustrating and could have been included in the booking. A few extra pillows and sheets would have been useful. Otherwise a very well stocked villa with plenty of plastic glasses, plates etc for the poolside and a wine glass for every occasion in the kitchens. The paella pan lid was a revelation. The outside was amazing, with loads of different outdoor areas to use and things to do - the table tennis championship went on all week, lilo races in the pool worked well, the evening draughts and chess games got competitive, and the paella in the outdoor kitchen was a definite highlight.

5/5 Our family of 5 stayed at Helen's villa for 2 weeks in August, and part way through my other nephew joined for a week.
The villa worked fantastically for all of us. My sister and her family stayed in the main house and my partner and I used the garden apartment. The set up allowed us to chill out together during the day and evenings, but provided some time out/space as required. The villa is nicely furnished and having 3 bathrooms (with excellent water pressure) was a definite plus.
Most of our days were spent by the pool, which we all voted to be the best of any villa rental to date. It was the right size for our twice daily water polo anyway, and the noodles came in great for the team in the deep end and retrieving wayward shots 🙂.
The villa has so many different zones/areas to it. The seating area by the bbq is great, but we pretty much stayed at the sofa area by the pool. It worked really well for breakfast, lunch and early evening drinks, and provided shade for those who wanted a break from the sun.
The villa is about 20-30 min walk into the centre depending on pace. It is quite hilly though and there isn't much lit pavement an route, so we drove in/back or caught cabs.
There are two supermarkets about 5 mins drive away Mas y Mas and Pepe La Sal. We thought the latter had more choice but both are reasonably priced.
Whilst there my sister and I had our birthday meal at Ca Pepe about 15 min walk down the road. The food and service was superb, with some nice little touches for the occasion. Other enjoyable meals ...
Bar21 - nice tapas planks, albeit you cannot order individual dishes. Burgers and Caesar salad were good too.
Chillers - Latin American food with a twist
Katmandhu - the boys wanted Indian one night and we all thought it was one of the best we've ever had
La Bonita - good chicken and fish dishes and our 11 year old wolfed his fillet steak in Roquefort sauce!
Helen was really responsive before, during and even after our stay and Rachel and family do a great job looking after the villa.
We had an excellent holiday and would go back tomorrow if we could.

5/5 What a truly beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed villa. So relaxing, and in an ideal location to enjoy the many delights of Moraira and beyond.
We recently stayed for 2 weeks at Casa Helena for a 3-generation holiday, using both the main villa and the apartment downstairs, and all of us had a really great time. The accommodation was ideally arranged for such a group - we all had ample space to enjoy being together and privacy too. There was everything we needed, both in the villa and in the many outside areas.
The Grandchildren happily spent most of their time in the lovely pool, and the Adults could find lovely sunny and shady areas to relax in.
Thank you Helen for creating such a delightful villa, and for being so helpful before and during our stay. We can't wait to return, and would recommend the villa.

5/5 The property was very spacious with lots of different areas outside. The photos represent the property as it was. The pool was cleaned regularly and very inviting.
The bedrooms were spacious well appointed with effective air conditioning and the kitchens well equipped. The property clean and tidy when we arrived.
Helen was extremely helpful at all times and proved cots and high chairs for our grandchildren.
It was very hot when we were there and the walk down hill to Moraria was challenging at times. Transport would have made things easier but taxis were available and cost between 7 and 10 euros.
My family consisting of three generations had a great time and it gave my husband and myself the opportunity to be in comfortable surroundings with our family.
Thank you Helen

5/5 The villa has everything you would want and is extremely comfortable. Moraira is a little gem, also very close to Calpe and many other beaches for day trips while you are in the area. The owner Helen is very hands on and helpful and always available, highly recommended.

5/5 We stayed for a week in October, having rented the entire property. For a family of 5 we had acres of space - the downstairs apartment could have easily held another couple or a couple and a baby.
The pool was refreshing, the apartment tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The gardens has plenty of space, which the kids loved. Lots of places for them to discover!
The outside kitchen was perfect for enjoying the warm evenings.
Helen was responsive to all our queries, which was really reassuring. Moraira is a lovely place for a holiday, and Helen's villa made it a perfect visit.

5/5 Helen (the owner) was very helpful throughout our booking process. From our initial enquiry to until we returned home she was always prompt and friendly in answering any questions we had.
On arrival, everthing was exactly as it should be; villa was clean and tidy, well maintained and true to the description on owners direct. If anything, the description had underplayed the amount of outside space the villa had; it had so many lovely seating areas that you could go to throughout the day.
We travelled as a large family - 2 grandparents, brother and sister in law and baby, and myself and my husband with our 3 and 6 year old. The villa layout was perfect for the family. My brother, his wife and their one year old had the master bedroom, plenty of room for the cot. My husband and I and our kids had the two bedrooms with the shared bathroom (this was ideal as there was a door to access this space and it felt like our own suite.) My mum and dad had the garden apartment - this gave them some extra 'grown up' space.
The kitchen was well equipped and the pool was perfect. It is very obvious that Helen has lovingly restored and renovated the villa to a high standard, keeping many of the original Spanish features. The overall effect was a very peaceful and restful villa.
Helen helped us organise a private yoga instructor one morning and we had a class in the bottom garden. This was a really great experience and one I'd recommend (thanks Anita!)
There's a little bar past the garden centre nearby and ca Pepe is a lovely restaurant about 20 mins walk away. Because we are a family with a buggy and a 3 year old it meant the walk into town was a bit too far for us - about 2km walk downhill from the villa to Moraira town centre. It's through a residential area and it doesn't have footpaths the entire way. That said we could get a taxi for 8 euros into the centre of Moraira. The taxi drivers were always prompt and friendly.
We would recommend Le Soleil in town for dinner and Artesano for lunch/ snacks (check out the ham and cheese wrap - delicious!!)
Overall, a fanatic experience and very special holiday. Thank you for opening your villa up Helen! 😀

5/5 We've stayed for 5 days-4 nights for a yoga retreat holiday. The villa is absolutely beautiful with lots of space and snug areas where you can read, rest, sunbath or work on your computer. I couldn't get enough of the sofas and cushions to chill out with my books! Helen was a great host, listening and adapting as much as she could the life in the villa to our plans and needs. The food was good and delicious. Rooms are big with plenty of private sitting areas indoor and outdoor.
After landing in Alicante we took a bus from the airport floor -2 for £25 pp and Helen has met us at the bus stop. There are cheaper ways to get there by combining bus and tram changing half way, for example at Benidorm. Moraira is a nice town with a good market on Fridays, lots of restaurants and clean beaches. A walk from the town to villa takes 20 minutes or 5 minutes by taxi for 7EUR, however the host was always happy to drive us if we said we were going to the town in advance. Moraira town and the villa are very convenient to get to. You might want to rent a car or a bike if you want to move around a lot but you see many people walk from their villas to the town and Helen doesn't mind driving if it's local. The area has lots to offer and Helen is updated on what's on including concerts, markets, sea sports, etc. There's a stunning Swiss Hotel next door where you can dine or have a drink if you don't want to go to the town. The villa is also very private with all its facilities inward hidden from the drive way.
We really enjoyed our holiday. Thank you, Helen, for hosting us!

5/5 Casa Helena was the perfect choice for our family holiday. There were six of us and my ten-month-old nephew and every one of us had a brilliant holiday. The villa and garden apartment have been recently renovated to a particularly high standard and had absolutely everything we could have wished for. The outside spaces are wonderful - with many hidden areas of garden, plus the lovely sunny pool area with plenty of shaded seating. It is clean and homely and the owner texted me on our arrival day to check that everything was OK. She had also ensured that a cot and high chair (both brand new) were available, as we were the first party with a child to stay. The villa is located a little way from the beaches and town of Moraira with plenty of excellent places to eat and, with a car, it's also ideally located to explore the breathtakingly beautiful Costa Blanca mountains a little way inland. There's a good restaurant just a 10-15 minute walk away (Ca Pepe).
Every one of our party agreed that Casa Helena is a wonderful place to spend a holiday and we're already planning our next trip!
